| Is there anyone out there with an opinion, I would love to hear all about it. I own a tree farm that is not hilly, but one huge rolling 18 acre hill. The incline is moderately steep at best, yet if I am hauling wood or rock, I need something strong enough to go. I just need a good work horse with a dump bed to run errands on the farm and haul my tools around. I believe 800 payload and 1200 towing is enough, right? We have looked at different Atv's and utility vehicles, but there are so many and we are finding new ones to look at everyday. Would you buy from Tractor Supply or a dealership only? Is 4 seaters worth the money difference? If I buy a work horse, do I still need a toy 2 seater that is more fun to drive? |

| Might check into the kawasaki mule, it is built tougher than most others and is much more a work horse with a great reputation in durability, but it is not as versatile in rough conditions as others like the rangers | |

| Thanks so much. What about John Deere - I have heard mixed reviews? I would like to stay under 10,000- is there a way to buy used w/o high hopes on the craig's list? |

| If you want more insight into the "pure working" machines such as Kubota, John Deere, and Kawasaki Mules, you might check out this forum: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/atvs-utility-vehicles/ If you also want to ride trails for fun, the Teryx, Rhino and Rangers are all capable of both uses. I would certainly steer away from the Tractor Supply machines, period. One thing to check on ANY work-type machine is do they have sealed, water-proof CVTs or transmissions. Some do not, like those sold at Tractor Supply. | |

| I dont remember every seeing a UTV with 800lbs payload. 1200 towing is about what most name brands claim. Father in law has a Mule 610....13.5hp, personally I wouldn't buy one. | |

Kubota is a very hard machine to control with it's hydraulic drive. | |
