guy i know has one and it will run fine for a few minutes and just shut off? he put new carb,new fuel pump and drained the gas tank and it still shuts off. i think it is the cdi but i am not a mechanic any help would be Great.

Check the vent tube off of the carb it will cause that if it is stopped up

Maybe The tank as well, sounds like a vent problem

See if it will run with the gas-cap loose, that will rule out vent issues.
