| The funeral and service was way different, in a better way, than any of the traditional ones that are ran by big company's. It was obvious that Mike had many friends and family memebers that cared for him. Knowing that people like John (ARMY), Craig, Barry, Joel P. and others, do what they did, makes me hopefull that my friends will be the ones prepairing and finalizing my final resting site someday. This was a sad time for many. This is one of the first SOUTHERNSXSRIDERS funerals that I know of. Mikes wife was very strong through this. We pray for her and the others who were close to Mike. Rest now and forever Mike. 2 Harley's, about 10 side x sides and some 4 wheelers led the procession, just like Mike's wife wanted. After the grave side ceremony, we gave his wife one of the new SOUTHERNSXSRIDERS flags, that we flew during the procession. Thanks Big R for the donation. The hurst arriving at the church, after coming from the funeral home. I did not realize that when I took this pic that this looks like Old Ms. Browns place. We used to eat there when we did work in that area back in the 70's. Ms Brown was in her 80's then. She had a little grocery there back then and would make a fresh meat sandwich for us that was about 6 inches thick. This is what made this so different. The women, and maybe some men, to do all this was one of the other things that made this so joyfull. Thanks to you John, your dad Delbert, family and friends for giving me and Pam the opportunity to be with you all through this. This is what makes this site and club different from the others. You see it in Mason's situation too.

| It was great to hear the stories about Mike. How he made his friends laugh and how he mad them mad too. I have never been to a funeral like this before. I told many there that Mike touch my hart even after he was gone. R.I.P Mike........ Thank you Jon. Tell your brother and Dad I said thanks too. P.S. If anyone needs a RZR S for the weekend just ask Joel P. Sounds like he would probably let you use it......... Just tell him you need to race a Rhino down the street.... Man I wish I knew Mike as well as you guys! | |
