Pickett riding area

Spoke with Carl today. BAD news. After reading the lease terms and costs it has been decided not pursue this program. The Sunnybrook Sandwich shop will close as of 9/3/12. Parking will still be available for $5.00 per unit. No more food. The 2 rooms will still be available to rent. So, if we are still going to ride here it will be WITHOUT the land owners permission. It sure was a good thing while it lasted. Local land owners are still willing to let us ride and MAYBE there is a way around the closed area

I wonder how much it is. I bet we can come up with the money. Does anyone have the phone number for the land owner?

I would guess Carl would have the number, I remeber when we 1st found Pickett back in 2002, we rode it every Saturday for a whole summer to learn it, Mr. Hancock owned it then, hancocks grocery.....How much is the property we are talking about? the area close to the store, if so the area that leaves Blackhouse road and the carpenters rockhouse and Pall Mall overlook shouldnt be part of the property should it?

I think it is 3500 acres.
