Subject: Need help with choice of Hand Held Radio's! Tue Sep 04, 2012 7:59 am
We need to buy a new pair of hand helds for the up coming hunting seasons that WILL work in the Hills & Hollows of West Virginia. Is there such and animal to be had that won't require a HUGE outlay of cash? So far Cobra and Midland FRS radios won't do the trick. Out west these would talk a long way. several miles in fact. Here, they won't cover 700-900 or so yards. Thanks for any help.

Tick, I don't think there is much difference in them. You would have to buy one with more power then 7 w. Yes that will cost some bucks.
