PostSubject: upgrading lights   Sat Jan 12, 2013 1:26 pm

I'm going to upgrade my lights on my '12 S. What I'm thinking is 55 watt HID conversion. And a 10"/12" LED light bar on the frt bumper.
Open to other ideas and suggestions before laying out the cash.
Thanks in advance, RR

Richard, look at Burke Motorsports Hi/Lo setup. Lo beams are HID an high beams are halogen. 5 yr warranty for the lights, and very competitively priced. You can find him on RZRForums.

Get a 30 in. Light bar and leave your headlights stock for those times you have to hit the hardtop.

I have 20" totron and 35 watt hids and can leave headlights off. Plenty of light have no problems at nite what so ever. I have heard of light bars on the bumper putting off too much heat and keeping the fan running. Not sure what brand those were or if it was anyone specific.

I wouldn't put 55 watt hids in the stock headlights. Stick to 35s if you want HID.. The 55s are nice but will blind people you meet on the trail. If you don't have any other lights that could cause a problem. I would also say pick up a light bar. Anyone who has ever seen one in action on a machine will be hooked. They are very bright and they light up a very wide area. Prices have came down on them. They still aren't cheap, but you don't have to spend 800 dollars anymore either. 330 powersports on here has good deals on them.
