PostSubject: xp will not start    xp will not start EmptyThu Jan 24, 2013 7:56 pm

I had this code come up on my xp after it wouldn't start, 636 with a 2 under it. I know the code is for the crank positioning sensor. I replaced that and it still will not start. tried every thing I could think of but no luck. any ideas???

Ive been having the same problem with my 800, lots of different things it can be. Check all your connections, follow your harness and look for cut wires, ive heard even a dirty spark arrestor can play a part in it. As stated above cycle the key 5 or 6 times and then try starting it. Done that with mine last night and it worked for me after i found a connection loose. Code will stay on at first and after it runs for a few seconds it will go off.
