| Just wondering how often extra fuel is needed when you ride. I have a fuel station on the toy hauler to top off each day but I am talking about while your out on the trail. I have never had an issue of running out of fuel. Looking for reasons to justify bringing along an extra few gallons. What are some of your horror stories. I have noticed most here bring a couple gallons along. Looking forward to meeting some of you at Trails End in March!! | |

| Well, in the old days when we were all riding Rhinos I guess we just sorta got used to the idea that we had to carry extra fuel to ride all day. I've never had to use it for the RZR but I still carry it even if I just give it to someone that can't make it back without it. | |

| If you were to follow me around, you would probably need spare fuel... at least 2 gal min... I usually carry five extra. | |

| On group rides no, just a full tank, then fill again before going on night ride etc..
If I were following Jodyt or Dan around in a small group I would.
Also depends on which year RZR you have. If i recall correctly it was 2010 and later when Polaris changed fuel injection and ran the machines more lean but better gas mileage by far.
Also depends on if you like to "play" in mud holes etc..

| Thats what I carry also is just a 2.5 gallon can that the nozzel can go on the inside. Most of the time you don't need it.. But I've put it to use several times.. Fuel, water, ammo and food are always good to have more on the trail then you think you need IMO... | |

It is great when climbing where you need to hold onto with one hand. Not good for heavy use. I use one of my Stihl's for the big stuff.

| I take mine everywhere I go on the mountain... and I carry some seasoned dogwood wedges. If I need to use a wedge, I pound it in with a rock... no hammer needed that way... | |

| I carry two 2.5 gal cans every ride. You just never know. I've never needed them. Now that i have them. But almost ran out once on a very long day ride followed by a decent night ride and had to have someone lone me a few gallons. Roto Pax are expensive but they never leak, there compact and offer several mounting options. I have not had a problem with them yet. | |

| I have room left for either a spare tire or a gas jug. Not 100% sure yet what it is gonna be but I am leaning toward the tire. Have never had a problem running out of fuel yet. | |
