| For questions regarding the OHV Access Initiative, groups can call Yamaha’s dedicated OHV Access Initiative Hotline at 1-877-OHV-TRAIL (877-648-8724), email OHVAccess@yamaha-motor.com or write to: Yamaha OHV Access Initiative Review Committee, 6555 Katella Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630-5101. My email to Yamaha..Dear friends at Yamaha, First I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your continuing efforts to help provide access for the recreational off road community. One I would like to mention in particular is the support of the fine folks in Bell Co. Kentucky. I am grateful that Yamaha has recognized their efforts and rewarded them with a grant for the Wilderness Trail off-road park. Your generous contribution for their effort is appreciated. With that being said, I wanted to bring to your attention a situation that has arose in Huntsville, TN, that has created an issue regarding access for many in the off-road community to Brimstone Mountain. The administration at Brimstone have added rules and regulations that are restricting access to the mountain for many riders that enjoy staying at the Trails End campground. These new rules are put in place to do nothing more than attempt to put Trails End campground out of business so Brimstone can limit the places that the off road community can stay while traveling to Huntsville to ride Brimstone. A large portion of the off road community are very upset over this heavy handed approach to monopolize the lodging opportunities at the expense of the customers freedom to choose. I am including links below to Brimstones rules and to some of the off road communities responses to them. http://www.brimstonerecreation.com/plan-your-adventure/brimstone-resort-rules-and-regulations/ https://www.facebook.com/BoycottBrimstoneRecreation https://southernsxsriders.forumakers.com/t13991-brimstone-s-new-rider-policy-important-everyone-read With Yamaha being a sponsor to Brimstone Recreation, and a company that has put great efforts into access issues and improving the riding experiences of it's customers. I thought you should be aware of the situation. It is my hope that Yamaha is as outraged by this action as many in the off road community are, and expresses the same concerns to Brimstone that we have over their new rules for Mountain access. With all the efforts we have to face today in maintaining access to recreational riding area's, where we lay our head to go to sleep at night should not be one of them. Sincerely, Martin Garinger Scott Depot, WV

| Well folks it is like this. Advertising is all about ratings. Yamaha and Brimstone's other sponsors not only look at the traffic on the Mountain, but look at the traffic on Brimstone's web site. I am sure that since this issue has come up, that Brimstone's web site traffic has spiked up considerably. It is only fair to the sponsors to know why that is. An example below will show the traffic on the SSXSR's site since this issue has come up. Our traffic has spiked over 100% and has leveled off but remains about 15% higher than before the Brimstone issue. Check it out below. Expressing our unhappiness with Brimstone to their sponsors may or may not effect the relationship with them. But one thing that needs to be brought to their attention is that the increased traffic is over a negative issue and not a positive one. | |

| Sometimes the end result is the same. Increased revenue. I hope that does not happen here. I would really like to ride brimstone again someday. However, I will not unless this policy changes.
Trails End has plenty of trails to ride. Therefore, I am confident they will continue to stay open. If Brimstone is trying to close down Trails End it will not work.
Bad deal for everyone. | |

But about Monday there should be another viewer of their site cause I just finished an official complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commision) on unfair business practices. They helped me some time ago, lets see what they do now. | |
