Mine usally sets outside for months before I get around to splitting it and stacking in the barn. The last 2 loads of pin oak I brought home, I split the same day and stacked in a plastic shed with very little ventalation. It will set a year or more, as I have plenty in an oak sided barn. Do you think it will season in the plastic shed? I figure with the hot summer months, it will dry like an oven, or am I wrong?

gimpy it souns like it would work but dont you need ventilation to dry it out

i cut rings around the trees and let them stand a year or 2. time i cut them down there ready to burn most of the time. split what needs split and give it a few weeks in the dry.
