Hard to appreciate the steepness of that first part unless you have been there. Here is another vid of NCMudman and me clearing the top of 44Y on Grizzly's last spring. We went up it, had to winch about a 15 feet section. I am still not sure how in the first vid you dropped off the first step?

I am still not sure how in the first vid you dropped off the first step? When you come up on the first little flat you went left. If you would have hung right theres a trail straight up it
