I have a group coming in for a ride this week. I have only ridden the north part of royal ble and feel its mostly gravel rodeo. Can anyone give me advice on how to access more than the north side without trailering? Would I be better off staying at trails end campgrounds or ride royal blue campground?

By the North side do you mean the side that borders windrock and brimstone? We generally call that side the West side and the area that rideroyalblue.com is on the east side. Now the west side does have a lot of gravel but I personely love that side because for the most part the trails are unmaintained. Theres several trails across new river which used to be part of brimstone.

The east side you can ride most of the day without seeing hardly any gravel but they are groomed trails and are easy to moderate.
