Changing my oil in my RZRS yesterday and saw the EMP skid plate took the worst beating in the 4 years since I have been riding that machine. The main skid is dented all the way into the transmission case. Anyone else checked theirs and found rock pounding issues?

We were coming in on Sunday morning as most of the group was leaving. We have not gone over the machines yet to see what 7 days of Windrock can create. We put new wheel bearings in the wife's Rzr before going and had to change both fronts in the campground on Monday. Although the package said Rzr front something was wrong. I lost my rear brakes on Tuesday. Other than that we had a good trip. Dusty the first couple days then the rain made for some good riding!!!

Les, I took mine off my RZR4 a couple months ago. It was pushed up into contact with my rear diff area. I took a large hammer and put it back into shape. Took a little time and patience, but it was worth. I cleaned all my connections and crevices while I had it off.

Another thing you might want to look at is a brace made by Thunderhawk that goes between the skid and the case. It's supposed to prevent damage to the case because the UHMW skids are so flexible.

Ours took a beating too. I like the idea of that plate though since we have the UHMW under ours down the middle.

Were you in the Rhino? Did you rub a hole in your brake line?

1/2 inch UHMW skids and you will never again have skid plate worries!

A while Back I noticed an unusual vibration and that was the cause, My aluminum skid was bent up into the transfer and it was causing a vibration.. I took the skid off and took a big hammer to it till it cleared, haven't had an issue since. I have debated on making a cross member to go in that area for a little more strength but haven't done it yet..

Hitting trail 32 wide open at fall jam put a permanent dent in my 1/2" uhmw skid. The skid had an impression of my transmission in it. Luckily it didnt hurt the case. Good thing about uhmw is you can take a heat gun to it and make it look brand new again.
