| After not having enough jack to raise the toyhauler when I had a flat a few weeks ago. Due to crappy made in China tires. I bought a Trailer-Aid to see if it would work. I bought mine at Amazon.com I used it first on the 14 foot utility trailer and it worked great. Lifted the other tire off of the ground plenty. When I used it on the 38 footer Toyhauler, it would not lift the other tire completely off of the ground. I put a 2"x6" under the Trailer-Aid, then it lifted the tire off of the ground. When I switched it the rear tire, it would not lift the front tire off of the ground with 6x6" underneath. Figured I could lift the rest of the way with the small 2 ton floor jack I have. | |

| Gimpy how tall is the trailer aid? I was going to cut a 6x6 at an angle and do the same thing. Think it would be tall enough? | |

I can't remember, just bring up the add for trailer aid plus, which gives you another inch or so over the trailer aid, and it will tell you.

| This will not work on torsion suspension, just leaf springs and shackles. | |

| The trailer aid is pretty narrow and fit in my tool box on my truck, which is really full of other junk too. | |

| I've been trying to figure out a solution for my toy hauler since it has torsion axles. Guess I will have to keep looking. | |

| We had two blow outs yesterday on my 20' open trailer about 20 miles apart. The trailer is 8 months old!! The jack lifted the front axle Ok. It seemed like all the jack could do to get the back axle up. Even cranked the tongue of the trailer down to the ground to help raise the back!! Of course all this was in the pouring rain!! The wife made the comment about something to run one wheel up or we will need to take a bigger jack with us. | |

Sounds like you have leaf springs. If you do, this will probably work.

| Yes, they are leaf springs! Although I don't remember running over anything, I must have!! It was the front passenger, then the rear passenger. I carry one spare but not two!! | |
