| The H1N1 flu strain is pretty nasty this year. Already 15 reported deaths ( and these were normally healthy individuals that otherwise was not compromised). Its not too late to get your flu shot- highly recommended. Don't just rely on "herd immunity". Oh, and the target age is 25-50! So not just the very young and elderly as most people think. So go git-er-done! I would hate to see any of my sidexside friends miss any rides because of the flu. Just because you get vaccinated doesn't mean you won't or can't get it, but it will greatly reduce your chance of getting it. http://discovery.wisc.edu/media.acux/6ea3de71-5efc-4ef5-9883-b4811229af31 | |

| Just being sick in general sucks! People should really get their flu shots, if not for youself, then do it for your loved ones and fellow man and this is why:
During this time, flu viruses are circulating in the population. An annual seasonal flu vaccine (either the flu shot or the nasal-spray flu vaccine) is the best way to reduce the chances that you will get seasonal flu and spread it to others. When more people get vaccinated against the flu, less flu can spread through that community. That means the more people who do NOT get vaccinated means more and more people will get infected.
Those that have not had the flu in several years can in part thank all of those for getting vaccinated. You are not getting sick because of what is known as "the herd effect".
Oh, and it is impossible to get the flu from the flu shot. Just a myth.
Sorry guys for the preaching but its just kinda my line of work.

| First time flu shot this year in over a decade for me. I almost died the last two years. first in line this year, healthiest been in years.
I had a reaction three years in a row a decade ago quit taking them, almost died the last two so gave it a "shot", working great.
