Does anyone know if there is a way to cross the river on New River Road at Shea and head West towards Lowe Gap  (36°14'20.34"N 84°19'58.51"W). I have Dan's maps on GPS, but can't tell from google earth is you can cross.

Use the crossing at Robert's Ford in Shea... if the water is normal. If the water is raging and you can't see the bottom, it's best to just stay out of the river...

Coming from the North, cross the river bridge and take the first right. The crossing is a a couple of hundred yards from Norma Rd.
