My 2013 900xp 4 burned 2 quarts of oil in 5 hrs of riding took to shop cylinders and rings shot 2198 miles 216 miles always serviced oil and air filter Polaris oil and filters .western warranty said won't pay not broken part just worn out shop said cleanest motor they ever seen costing me about 2 k to fix. Western ins sucks think I'm going to run amzoil oil and the alba racing air filters something caused this wear or the Polaris motor is junk.

Polaris air filter system lets dirt get into the intake, causing the wear on the rings. A lot of time they leak at the seam where they go together. A lot of opinions on which is the best way to go.
