Ordering a new XLT BOOST CAMPER , order with a Onion 4000 or not [with remote start] ???? will run a 15 btu air and a micro wave at same time
1. will we use it enough to cover the $3000.00 add cost ???
2. or just get a Honda 3000 [$2100.00] keep in truck can use it for other than camper??? can only run air no micro wave--- [add $198 for remote start]
3. both use same amount of fuel and same dcbls at 68
I favor the Onion , but its one use only making me think twice

I like when we stop to eat on the road, or bunk down for a few hours, to be able to kick on the onboard Onan generator to run air, heat or microwave. Sometimes when it is super hot, we might kick the generator and air on while checking in too. I also run it about once a week to keep it cycled. I can do the vacuuming of the floors when I do am running it without plugging it in. Also resale value makes a difference.

I think resale is the key, go for it. In my motorhome it is a necessity as the dash air can't keep it cool on a 100° day while driving.
