This is not our typcial-type of riding, but that's why you won't see me not strapped-in and most of the time with my helment on. Look at pic at the top of the this forum.................Ahemmmm.

I couldn't see any pic, but danm that is sad news.

I agree i dont wear a helment on a Rhino.
cause i cant spit when i dip....
Reson i stopped rideing street bikes..
wear one in the Camaro. but i only need it on for 6.72 seconds....

But i always wear my seatbelt.
even though it is uncomfortable as shit.....

it is really sad about this fella.
but he did not have a belt on......

I feel for the family....

I agree Chris, that stock belt cuts the mess out of your neck. When I had the stockers I put one of those velcro-pads on it and it made a world of difference.

it is a Hell of a way to go.
Specialy when you suppose to be haveing the time of

As far as a "spit-friendly" helment goes, a decent bicycle helment would work fine. All the serious rock-buggy guys wear them.

Busco Beach is the closest (fee) riding area to us. We have been there a few times. Although they call them trails, there is no organized trails. It is basically a sand mining operation, so there are a lot of shallow mud pits, dirt hills and small to large ponds scattered around the property. They also have a sand drag area that on weekends is very busy. What may have started out as a trail, turned in to a maze of tracks through or around the mud holes.

The owner works hard to keep the place clean and safe. They have clean restrooms/showers, snack shack and camping is allowed on site. I don't know if alcohol was involved in this case or not but I will say alcohol can be a problem. We always try to be gone before 4 in the afternoon on the weekends.

They have held a Mud Nationals event there and this passed weekend was the Naughty School Girl Contest.

I wore an open faced hard shell snow ski helmet for a long time - then went full face....
