Bobby , I have that exact same radio. and it worked very well in Kentucky. it was clear, and i dont recall it ever breaking up. and the battery lasted all weekend on a single charge. I think you will like it.....  | |

| That was why i bought it. cause of water proof. and also read user reviews. most people choose midland over motorolla for sound quality....... | |

| Using upper grade cobra with 4 weather stations, worked great in bell co. in fact it got us all home  after BCO's died I loaned him mine so he could finish the trip once he called the other guy and found what turn we needed to head back on. | |
