PostSubject: Camera Mount   Camera Mount EmptySun Feb 15, 2009 4:57 pm

The Yank is getting ready to get a HD Video camera and get into some trail recording. My problem has been finding a mount for it I like that does not cost a arm and a leg to buy. I found this on the internet and ordered the parts to make it. It was just what I was looking for and will only cost me about $45 to put it together. You will never get a more heavy duty mount anywhere. Thought I would share with those who may be interested. Here is the link. I ordered the panavise mount, and the 1 3/4 inch pipe dampener for my harness bar.

I have not got one yet. Really having a hard time deciding. Dont want to spend too much money because of the enviroment it is going to be in. Right now I'm looking at the Sony Webbie. Here is a link.

yankee ou might want to look at the kodak zx1 that comes out in may. it shoots in 720p hd at 60 fps and it is water/sand/mud proof. Kodak zx1 also if you type in kodak zx1 on youtube there are some reviews of it from the ces 2009 show about a month ago.

I was looking at these cameras , http://www.beachaudio.com/Oregon-Scientific/Atc-2000-p-84922.html , as far as being waterproof, to make some videos trout fishing , sticking the cam under water bringing in the fish, and strapping on the head when riding.

what kind of camera is the majority using when making the utv ride videos ?
and has any body used/experience/reviews of the oregon cameras ?
