I have to turn it over several times for it to start and it acts likt it wants to stall when it does start, could this be an air/ fuel issue or is this common. its like its very cold natured and i live in south florida.

Have you checked the fuel-filter?? When I had a 450, if it sat for more than a day or two, it would loose it's prime, in other words, the fuel would drain from the line, back to the tank, thus a little more time until the fire started.
