| Thanks, guys!
Joined your site because I see your members showing up all over the place, contributing, and they seem to have more in common with where I ride and how I ride than most other sites. Plus I love the movies and pictures you guys post around -- it makes me homesick!
It also seems that most of the posters in the forums fall into two categories:
1. Duners, or
2. Mudders
So, they have to have 50MPH machines or ones that'll spin 29" Outlaws in wet cement... I don't need either, so this Grandpa is perfectly content with his little 450, and the savings over a new 700FI let me pimp it out pretty well. If I ever want a couple more MPH, I can add a sheave and CDI and get it.
BTW, though I live in Massachusetts now (went off and joined the Air Force and after 27 years in blue, I haven't migrated back HOME yet), I've bought retirement property in East Tennessee (where I grew up) and will be retiring back to the foothills of the Smokies. I'll be in Walland (Blount County) within a couple hours of Brimstone or Royal Blue, and less than an hour from Coal Creek... so I look forward to that VERY much!

Yep, I'll be in Saddle Ridge off East Miller's Cove, almost back up into Walden's Creek in Sevier County... Here's where I'm planning to build... http://loonlanding.info/Wish I could make it happen tomorrow, but this economy likely has delayed things even farther...

Yes, when the've stocked Little River. I grew up in Seymour, at the foot of Bluff (Chilhowee) Mountain -- what part of K-town do you live in?

| There's some drop-dead gorgeous areas on the edge of the plateau in Morgan County -- or at least there used to be... a good friend grew up in Oliver Springs -- visited there and Wartburg a lot -- and my best friend dated a girl from Harriman... | |

Isn't Elgin where the tornado hit a few years back? My nephew, Mike Justus, pastored a Baptist church up there somewhere... not exactly sure where.
