You guys with the 650's.

How are you accessing your primer lever? Real pain to pull the seats and center console every time I want to use it.

Right now, that's how U have to do it........when I'm home I just leave the dog house off.
I've been looking at a choke cable mounted in the shifter panel and attaching to the flat spot on the primer lever. This would allow U to "pump" the "Choke lever" hence priming the carb.
Still working it over in my head though.

I do not know any thing about your Rig but I wanted to share some information with you. I had a jet ski that was built and it would not start with the standard choke. I know they make a Primer that had 2 small hoses, 1 hose attached to the fuel line and the other to the inside of the carb. You could mount the primer any where you wanted to. I dont know if this wiil work on your rig but it maybe somthing to look into.

Thanks guys I never thought of the choke cable.

I've heard of guys running a light chain and coming out but don't see anyway to run it where it wouldn't catch or flop around.

They really weren't thinking of the Prowler when they designed this on the atv which is open and accesible.

Been checking out a new machine?

I'm also looking into snorkleing mine as the stock location for the carb and cvt exhaust and intake is rediculous.

The cvt exhaust comes out and bounces off the box and is right next to the cvt intake. Talk about sucking crap in over and over. I'm sure you are well aware of this as well.

The problem is in MN you can't go more than 6" higher than stock location so it doesn't really help with getting it away from the box.

No.....helped Highlander with his machine when we were all at Bell County this past September.

Ya....I cut my manifold apart, am only using the exhaust section now....the rest is in the "Recycle" bin.

I filtered mine....it is now way to the right of the exhaust and right under the rear, center roll bar support.

It's illegal to ride water, wetlands, waterways, etc. here so this is another way of preventing it is my guess.

Looked at the primer lever today while cleaning the clutch. Not much travel in it, a guy would have to be awfully careful pulling the cable since it's such a short stroke.

Correct.....it doesn't move much. One would have to lock the top and bottom of the cable without and "slack" in the cable.
The hardest part of all of this would be routing the cable just right, so that it would push and pull the primer nice and straight..... but I'm still lookin @ it Exclamation
