riding Callalantee/ mountian city TN 12-05-09

me,stealth and masion are planing on going riding this sat at Callalantee. it a place that we have never been. its in the northeast part of TN near where VA,TN,NC meet.

looking forward to a trail report. This is the area that they are considering turning into a big trail system and hook up with Hatfield/McCoy.

i think it would be hard to hook this trail up with the H/M trails. one thing is I-81 is between them and all the land is private own or national forest. what i am hearing is that the spearhead system is the one that is going to hook up with the H/M trails and run all the way to evarts ky. and the place i ride VA city is hooking up with the system also and is about a halfway point between the 2 systems. almost all the land from southern WV into VA all the way to KY is all owned by coal co and gas well co so it will be much easier to make happen.

There's no way they're gonna be able to police the entire system. They need to give up on some of the restrictions. I'd gladly pay yearly to ride the system if they would ease up a little.

I the long term plan. It totals about 2000 miles of trails.

How was the ride? The trail markers are horrible eh? The map is worse. Wish I would have seen this post earlier. Did you ride the welder? Its pretty awesome. Hope you didnt get too lost! Our first trip we got on some logging roads and took us an hour or so to get back on the trails.

we ended up not going!!

i was unable to go because i had to take monica the the ER. she had an MRI done on her back fri because she was having very bad pain and it showed a blown disk. later fri night she sent a pic of the MRI to a DR she works with and he told her to go to the ER because it was one of the worst he has seen and it could paralyze her and we didt get home untill 3 am.got to go back on monday and she will more than likely have surgery sometime next week


i think the others backed out because of the weather.


there will be another trip planed for there soon..

I hope all goes well for her. If she does have to have surgery..I wish her a speedy recovery.

I just had this surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago and I wish I would have done it sooner. My L5 and S1 were compressed. If she has it done she won't regret it. After 2 1/2 weeks I can do most daily activites except lifting. Doctor says about 6 mopnths of staying off the rzr s.

hope she gets well quick!! looking forward to riding with yall when we can!!
