I just posted my occupation in the "what do you do for a living thread" and thought I would ask any of you guys might know someone selling a mill and or lathe. I have been out of maching for 10 years but kinda like a bicycle you dont forget how to crank handles. I would share a finders fee for anyone that knows of deal on a mill, lathe or both.

If only I would have known last week. A local machione shop sold out at auction. They had a lot of good deals. I picked up a medium size mill for $900. Most of the brakes and shears were way too big.

What did you get 64? Bridgeport, Lagun...or maybe a china brand? Did you get any tooling collets with?

It's not a commercial mill but it did come with several collets, end mills, parralels, etc. The owner bought it for a new employee and only used it a week before the guy quit.

I have heard it said that all good carpenters, machinist and fab gurus are missing a digit or two. Shawnley it looks like you and I both, at least by that standard, you dont quailify as "good". Nice pic...
