| New meat here ... I have been riding ATVs for about 15 years (and currently own a Can Am Outty Max), but am starting to think about a SxS. My knees are not what they once were and the thought of sitting in, rather than on, a ride is starting to appeal to me.
Joined to become "official" while I do my nest imitation of absorbing information from y'all who use these things (as opposed to the dealer sales folk who just want a sale).
I look forward to hanging 'round.

| Welcome Sam. The majority here have been riding some type of rigs for a long time. I can say that in my floating around these forums I have only saw one person go back to a quad. You would be disappointed. | |

| Hey Sam,
I am glad you joined the site. You can find a lot of info about SxS's here. That is what we are all about. Also there are many different machines here. However, most have been converting to the RZRS.
Welcome!!!!! | |

| Hey Sam I also roda a MAX. Man I loved that machine!! Shoulder issues persuaded me to go to a SXS. Glad I did for sure. But I miss it terribly sometimes. Anyway, unload the Can AM and take the plunge. These guys here are the best and a hoot to ride with. Don't forget to go 'ORANGE' | |

| Wow ... Lots-o-welcoming words. Thanks!
I found out about this forum / club / site through being an on / off / on again participant on the Windrock ATV Club forums (use the same handle there). Been a little inactive for a couple of years having gone through the ugly reality of a divorce and a few health issues that have made me change my attitude toward life a bit.
I love anything off-road. I still am a semi-avid Jeeper and lead rides for Jeep Jamboree USA. I still love my Can Am, and depending upon what I end up buying, I may keep it. I also have a Can Am Spyder for street toy that is an absolute blast as well.
Love to elk hunt, but live where there aint any. I get out to CO on average every other year to hunt. I am a Life Member in the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, thus the handle ...
I am focusing on the RZR and RZRS machines, but am trying to learn all I can before dropping the dough on a machine. I have tended not to do many mods on the quads I have owned ... skids, winch, tires, and a storage box is usually all I do ... and will probably continue that way.
Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to get to meet y'all on the trails in 2010. Have a great holiday season. | |

| Welcome to the site. I had a new Sportsman quad that I could not ride because of 2 bad hip surgeries. Went side x side. Now we can ride several hours or more with no complaints. The quad rides would only last a few hours and we were beat up. We had a RZR first and loved it. Went on the rougher trail rides with this club and found that we needed to make some mods. Our luck was a couple we knew wanted our RZR, then we bought a RZRS. No regrets now. We use it on our property with a 4'x4' trailer when we need to haul things. It is ready for the rough trails anythime that way. Good luck and get the information you are seeking from this site. | |
