My Bad Wing Empty
PostSubject: My Bad Wing   My Bad Wing EmptySun Jan 17, 2010 12:54 pm

Well guys back in September, I was putting up a fence and at the end of the day I felt a pain in my right arm. I thought I was just getting old, but the pain never went away. So after a few doctor trips and an MRI, I found out that I tore a tendon that holds my bicep in my right arm to the bone. At 7:15 Monday morning I am going to have surgery to have it repaired. The surgery is only 2 hours an is out patient, but the recovrey is going to be 3 to 4 months before I can go back to work or ride my Rhino. So I will be sitting around enjoying the rides everyone else goes on. So please remember to take your camera when you go and post your pics because I needs somthing to look at and enjoy.
Thanks

I had my shoulder done 13 months ago (subchromial decompression sp?). Do as you are told and not as you wish. A year from now you will be good to go. Enjoy the first few weeks of therapy, it goes down hill after that!!!!

I really hate to hear that buddy. I know it is hard for active people to sit around. However, I would have to agree with Wingman, take it easy and get healed up right!!!!!

I have put up with a pain in my left elbow for 2 or 3 years too. Got to bad latley. Went to a specialist this week and he told me the same thing as you. Tore it away from the bone. I have to much to do, as always, to get it done now. But we will see next month when I go back. Good luck on yours.

Good luck Rhino! I feel your pain. I did a number on my knee a few years ago and it is bothering me again. I hope I do not hear something similar to you, but I am kinda expecting it.

Good luck and heal up quick!

It has almost been two weeks since my surgery and the doc has taken my cast off and stitches out. now this is my new best friend. We eat, sleep, shower and just hang out toghter. I get to keep him on 24 -7 until the end of February. I keep looking on ebay for some mods that I can do to it maybe a lift kit or turbo I dont know but like all SxS members I think I can make it bigger better faster.

Gimpy this is what you have to look forward to. The pain has not been too bad and I was off the pain meds in about 4 days.

Boy that scares me again. I had a Hip replacement in 05, got staff infected 2 weeks later. The surgeon left the cup in the pelvis loose. Tore up the bones, scheared the screws off. Had it done a 3rd time 10 months later. That is why I am Gimpy. Sometimes I don't have a limp. Good luck on your recovery. I see the surgeon on Feb. 18th. Hard to wipe after #2, isn't it?

Look;s like you are healing up nicely RHINO. REMEMBER THE MOST DANGEROUS TIME IN ANY RECOVERY IS WHEN YOU START FEELING BETTER, DON'T OVERDO! SPEAKING FROM TON'S OF EXPERIENCE.

It looks like mine is going to wait. The shots are masking the pain some what, and the surgeon thinks that if I take it easy it will heal itself. Sorry I can't take it easy with all that I am into. If mine was pulled all the way like yours, then I would be forced to take it easy. Hope yours gets better soon.
