| I am looking at getting a SXS and have narrowed my choices to the Teryx or the Ranger XP. Pro's and Cons? | |

| teryx if you want to play alot work some. ranger if you want to work mostly and play some. just my .02 cents worth. the ranger is a nice vehicle but i think it is geared more toward work but will play. teryx is just the opposite. polaris maybe a little more reliable though. | |

| No experience with a Teryx, so I can't comment. As a former Rhino,RZR-S and now Ranger XP owner, the Ranger will play as hard as the others, and will work harder than the others. The Polaris 4wd system is astounding to say the least. The aftermarket is not loaded-down for the Ranger as the Rhino,Teryx, or RZR, but I see new stuff weekly. It really depends on what your plans are. I don't work mine to amount to anything, mostly just ride,(and I can ride three) but if I do need to work it one of these days, it's there. They all have their quirks across the board. The perfect machine has not and will not be built anytime soon........... | |

| Until the 800 came out, it would have been the Teryx for me. But Polaris has really stepped it up with the new 800XP. I would say if your happy with 2 seats and want to do alot of Modding to it then get the Teryx. If you want seating for 3, or dont plan on doing alot of Modifications then the 800 XP would be the way I would go. Pro and Con. I like the V-Twin motor of the Kawasaki better than the Polaris inline. I like the Polaris All wheel drive system much better than the Kawasaki's. I do not like the cable actuated 4WD locker on the Teryx at all. | |

| Thanks for all the responses.
I am looking for something that I can put a hitch on the front and push a pontoon boat back into the garage, work around the farm, ride some trails with the wife.

| Don't think you can go wrong with either one. You might think about what dealer support you have locally in case you did have some problems?
Lovin my Teryx, but I'd probably love a Ranger too!!
