| So let's really talk about the teryx in the enviroment we ride. I am tired of reading info from the sand guys who have no clue the terrain we ride. Maybe some more posts about what works for trail running. |

| Just a open discussion of modifications that work best for trail riding. Most the guys on other forums ride in the dunes which is a different animal. |

| I think what Sleepy is saying is all we (speaking as a rex owner) hear is sand this and sand that. If you go on a couple of the teryx sites, you usually end up hearing from some nut job that lives in the land of the fruits, nuts, and flakes also known as cali. If one of these guys with there paddle tires would have to ride a real trail, they would be lost in the first 15 seconds.
We need to talk more about real sxs riding and not what you can do with a dune buggy. |

| you got that right 4x4pac! but here is a good starter list of good teryx acessories a good quality top, a good quality winch, and some good 6 ply or better tires.....i would say on a teryx....go for 27" GBC grim reapers, ITP Mudlite XTR'S , or 27" Maxxis Bighorns.....and always carry a small box of necessities such as tire plug kit and smalll compressor, some spare parts, and tools......and a good quality windshield.... here is what i would put on a teryx if i had one.. http://hunterworks.com/inc/sdetail/31168 http://www.hunterworks.com/inc/sdetail/30695 http://itptires.com/utilityatv/mudlite_xtr.html http://www.blackanddecker.com/ProductGuide/Product-Details.aspx?ProductID=15542 http://sidebysidesports.com/katefefl.html |

Yeah, and if the Teryx guys have problems with sand fleas, they should see what the Rhino guys put up with...

| Bumpers all seem to be geared towards the sand. Very little info on rock sliders. Skid plates and cv guards often go unmentioned also.
Plus there are things as simple as disconnecting your swaybar for articulation that don't matter much in the sand. |

Sway bar has been off for a long time. I dont consider a little piece of tube a bumper. If you are going to ride real trail you need a MAN BUMPER (like the ones we make). |

| I've wondered about disconnecting the sway bar. I think the 2010 got a "weaker" sway bar to allow more articulation, but I usually ride slower more technical terrain so I may take it off entirely.
Amen on the bumper...just trying to plan out what to do next.
Got a good deal on a UTV concepts aluminum flat top (145 OTD) - I like the fact that it's flush, but will allow me to add lights to front and back.
Biggest thing to me about East Coast riding...no chrome, why bother when the mud is going to cover it up! |

| if you read some of the older posts or do a search you might and probably will find alot of answers to the questions you ask. This site is definetly not a sand friendly source of info..
And if you dont find anything,,,,,,, just ask and i am sure someone will do a little research on a search engine and help you all that they can. |

| Well I have no idea bout sand. I know that mine is set up for all trail and mud riding. We go a lot to MS to the mud flats on the lakes there. If you do not have a winch then you will be there for awhile. I have seen buggies buried all the way to the floor pan. Oh and something else we do is skimm the water with them. This is a big thing going on here. Got to have the horses under you to get-er- done though. |

| I still have my sway bar on. I like the stability going into hard turns fast. I mainly steer with the rear. I know nothing about the dunes or sand. I pretty much go to every red trail and try the biggest hills I can find. I do avoid the deep mud. Not a fan plus my bike isnt set up for that. I just drive mine like I stole it |
