No, I am looking at an aFe intake though. I tried running it without the lid and got a diagnostic code, which was a false reading from the mass air sensor. I tried running it with holes drilled in the lid, and got the same code.
So, that is why I am just running an aftermarket UNI Filter with a stock airbox/lid.

I hear ya ... we have had the same trials & tribulations with the air box & lid. The afe & the k & n are both the same as running holes in the lid though ... I have the k & n. I didn't know you could run the 54 mil with a stock intake. So with the 54 mil does it idle smooth, have good take off ... what's the down side?

No down side at all, mine idles like it was when it was brand new. Power is VERY much improved in all areas with the 54mm TB with a built motor vs. a built motor with a stock TB. Great mod.....unbelieveable difference. White Knuckle Racing is top notch....great products. Just can't say enough about it.
I am also running the Weller Racing Injector.

Nice ... thanks for the info on the throttle body ... it is now next on my list. My Weller injector should have already been here ... been on backorder for a few weeks.
