[flash] Quote: March 17, 2011 Dear Arctic Cat Dealers, As many of you have heard, we showed a new Side x Side family member in Nashville at the 2012 Snowmobile Business Meeting. Without a doubt it created quite a “buzz,” being posted online within minutes of rolling across the stage! I have had numerous calls asking how we order, when do we order, when will it be available and what will it be named? So, I will answer some of the questions the best I can at this time. · Only select dealers were given the opportunity to see up close…. no pictures. · They completed a survey on accessories, colors and potential names. · The selected colors were Metallic Green and Metallic Black · The selected name …. Wildcat! We will be keeping you informed over the coming months. To say the least, it will be a vehicle which will turn heads! The buzz is hot …. Over 50,000 hits on various sites including YouTube. Check out the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQGAYSz1bME Search the internet to take a look. Coming soon…. Sincerely, XXXXXXXXXXXX ATV/ROV Product Manager[/flash]

[flash]I was told by my dealer today that there is a nice rear storage area in the back that is big enough to hold a large cooler!! The pics look like it has nothing but thats what he told me. He also said that the read springs were 24" long and the shocks themselves were around 30". According to Cat it has 6-8" more inches of travel than the Polaris. The engine has no driveshaft in th rear. It is direct coupled to the transaxle since the engine sits way back in the machine. Less moving parts and no more u-joints He told me the machine is very well build and should smoke the competition!! [/flash]

There's that same $15,900 price that I heard. I repeat, if that price holds true, that is a lot of machine for the $$ compared to the RZR XP...

More comments / info from other forums:

In our meeting we were told less then 12mths I think by summer might be pushing
it. For the initial release it will be available in Black or green. They said
the design allowed them to use a high volume air intake system and dual exhaust.
95 HP range.
The machine you see in the videos is very close to production. The marketing
supply guys might try to change a couple little things, but other than that, you
are looking at a very near production machine.
64 inches wide, 16-17 inches wheel travel, 95+hp, steering box and tie rods are
front design ( in front of a-arms fro strength),tube chassis, doors, reserviour
shocks and more....

As for release, you can look for orders to be opened up after the dealer show in
August, with deliveries being from October to January. MSRP will be very close
to $15,900. Less than the RZR XP900. Arctic Cat knew very well about the XP last
year and built this machine to annihilate it....
I was told by my dealer today that there is a nice rear storage area in the back
that is big enough to hold a large cooler!! The pics look like it has nothing
but thats what he told me.

The selected colors were Metallic Green and Metallic Black

Back in the day, turning fifty meant slowing down and taking life at an easier
pace. But for the builders of the World’s Fastest Snowmobiles™, the idea of
slowing down goes against everything we stand for. Whether we’re leading the
race with Team Arctic® or reinvigorating the industry with new technology, we’re
in for another 50.
We’re sending this out as a Save-The-Date for the brand’s 50th Anniversary in
Thief River Falls. Because on July 29 and 30, Arctic Cat proves that there’s
absolutely no sign of stopping.
More details to come as the date gets closer.*

All the best,

That space, or looks like a space, between the bed and the side bars looks like an excellent way to clean vines out of the woods.
