The adventures of Big-R, clayboy and WV Rhino Empty
PostSubject: The adventures of Big-R, clayboy and WV Rhino   The adventures of Big-R, clayboy and WV Rhino EmptyMon Aug 18, 2008 6:39 pm

Wow what a weekend! It all started with a night ride Friday. clayboy set it up with piano man of the Ridge Runners. We all left out of the north camp ground around 10:00 PM. It started out great. Went to the top of one ridge and could see the town below. Then we went off park. It was a beautiful night, full moon and cool weather. Well some where between where we started and 2:00 esh in the morning, we think the piano man got lost. So we had to turn around. We had to make a pretty good hill clime to start back. Well there was no room to get around each other so the rear be came the lead. clayboy rhinocon and Big-R made it up the hill. The rhino behind us rip out its rear end in the middle of the hill clime. Clayboy and I tried to pull him up the hill and couldn't. I wanted to try and winch and everyone said there's no way you can winch him up this hill. Well after 2 hours of debate, Big-R said there's only one way we are getting that rhino up that hill. So I took that WARN XT 30 and winch his ass up the hill humper Then clayboy and I pulled him for a bit then another miss-hap so I pulled him solo. I with my stock 700 with XTRs pulled a rhino through some really rough terrain for eleven miles. These Rhinos never stop amazing me. We stop and witch the sun rise. It was 7:30 in the morning when I got back to the house. The story is a lot longer then this, so I have to tell it in detail at our next conference meeting Eat

Here are some pics I took:

The last night ride I did in Evarts was March 07 and it went wrong bad in a hurry. We got off of the park by accident and got lost and we had 3 guys with a GPS and still could not find our way out so with one guy about out of gas I took the lead and some how found my way back but I found out later we climbed Pucker 1 and Pucker 2 which was scary I'm just glad I could not see how steep and long the climb was because if it was day light and I could see I would have looked for another route...lol

First off,,,,, welcome aboard Green Hornet! Glad you found us!

Man that was a nite I will never forget, even though some parts are still kinda blurry. I hated missing out on the saturday morning guided rides, but we got one heck of a story to tell in return. If I had to do it all over again, I would in a second. Nobody got hurt and I learned a few things that I will carry with me for a long time.

Green Hornet, please get us some up-dates on Bryant's Rhino. I hope he can get it back on the trail soon. One of the nicest paint jobs I have ever seen.

That guy has an awfully big smile for someone who just tore the rear end out of his toy. I think I would be teary-eyed to be in Evarts, on the trails, with a broken toy. Good thing you guys were there to tow him home. Sounds like a great time. Sorry I missed it.

Big-R you guys are the best! You and Clayboy just met us, helped calm down a buddy, and then towed him out of the woods. Topnotch in my book. As for mods, we get carried away sometimes. Can't wait to ride with you again. As far as the sunrise goes would have been nicer to be waking not going.
