Brimston SXS Roundup

I'm trying to figure out when I'm headed to Brimstone for a weekend to makeup for not being at Harlan. Is anyone here planning on going? I'm going to call tomorrow to see about reserving a campsite.

I know. I'm sure I'll probably be in overflow somewhere there, I hope.

If not I got a spot for you that I will probably be at..... a month out all the spots are probably taken. Let me know after you call tomorrow if there is still any open slots!

Thats why we aren't going.. All the RV sites were booked for the SxS event at white knuckle when I checked. Those overflow campsites are a no go Pulling a 26' cargo trailer with a 2wd truck. At white knuckle they had a buddy of mine in a spot with about 6" of water on the ground.. He got stuck pulling a 6x12 flat bed....

Think there are some guys from RZRForums that are trying to make Brimstone that weekend.

that would be nice, We have no idea where we are going or what trails to look for. I should hit him up and see if he would like to ride with us.

If you do, I highly suggest taking a GPS because when he gets ready, he does not wait for anyone. You will crack a beer and that dude will be slinging gravels headed down the road.

However, he does know the area very well. He likes to run easy trails at high speed with minimal stops. If you don't like that style of riding and you don't want to be rushed, I would highly suggest you contact someone else. If you want to cover alot of miles and go fast, he is your guy.

True that about Bobby D riding- great guy though.
We do more the crack a beer and BS then hit the technical stuff while Hollon makes us famous on youtube. I will take my GPS this trip and hopefully learn how to use it between now and then.

Anyone else want to join us? we have some late risers and probably won't hit the trails before 10 am, but the campfire when we get back is awesome. Two of our group have the RV spots by the showers for their toyhaulers and I have a cabin not to far away.

me and my wife are going to sxs round up is anybody going be there its just going to be me and her I would like to meet up with somebody to ride with cause something happens I'm in a wheelchair

Muddybuddy had a spot or 2 he offered me, I think they were next to the jail. Check with him and maybe he can help you.

IT was a bad time at the white knuckle had alot of rain. I know the people at trails end and they would help you out. 8ball if you want to go ask them about overflow in the trailend gravel pit. It is the big area on the right that is just gravel.

I'll be heading down Fri. am. I got #9 at trails end campground. Stop by. My # 502-777-0280 service may be limited.

Would not hurt to swap phone numbers with someone to get linked up once you get down there. I am sure there are some people here that will ride with you.

Make sure you take 5 gallons of water (for radiator) and a back up fan Hope you got it worked out now. See you at Wind Rock if you go.

I think I got all my fan issues worked out. I think the root of my issues was on the 2011's the breaker for the fan is next to the skid plate, and it takes about 6-9 months from what i've read to start corroding. I've replaced it, sealed it, and relocated it... Then I put in a fan override switch straight to the battery. No issues yet.

We have reservations for saturday at the campground for Windrock and may add friday too just depending on how things go between now and then. See ya soon though.
