Also any idea of how the 4wheeler got out of that big ditch? He said he ran off in that but didnt know how it got out of there.

By the time we arrived on scene, there were some of his friends there and I believe they pulled it up at of the ditch. Good thing the ditch was there or he would have been off the side of the mountain. I seen the Helmet he was wearing, it was not a DOT approved Helmet. I cannot stress this point more but it is always important that you wear a good helmet. He is very fortunate that he only sustained the injuries he did. It could have been alot worse. I am glad he was not seriously hurt.

Wow, I hate to hear about someone getting hurt! Sounds like it could have been a lot worse.

Me and the guy in the Toyota truck and I think one of the guys in the RZR pulled the Quad out of the ditch. That boy was very lucky, the ditch was 5' deep and only about 3-4 feet wide, and hidden by weeds. Unfortunatly Alchohol played a part in this accident.

Thanks for your help. He had worked that night and came up late, had I known he had been drinking like that I would have taken his key. Our whole group learned a good lesson that nite.
