I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the one in the back-ground....It's muddy!! First one I've seen with mud on it....I do see the need for some mud-protection tho. The seat headrest is covered!!

thatsright

I agree with Gunny 100% here......even where I live, there are around 7 AC dealers with in 57 miles of the home 20......no one has jack when it comes to parts. I usually order all of my parts from Indiana on Michigan.....have always had them at my door in 2 days.

However............where I ride in the UP, I am friends with the 3 largest dealer this side of the Rockies.....pull into his place unload the machine and he will have me going with in hours......go figure, up in the middle of nowhere and here is this great dealer, with anything and everything for my ride.... DontKnow .....but the key here is, he sells 100's of "Ditch Pickles" a year and the quads, Prowlers , and now the Wildcat just put the icing on the cake.

Whats a 'ditch pickle' Fox?

That's what the snomo peep's call an AC sled....."Ditch Pickle" I drove a Wildcat... - Page 2 13435 I drove a Wildcat... - Page 2 13435 I drove a Wildcat... - Page 2 Bizzle10

i have not rode a xp. but i have rode the commander 1000 and a 800S and no doubt after riding the wildcat it is at the top of the pile. i hit every rut, rock, and bump i could on t22 with the wildcat and it was the smoothest ride i have ever had. i stayed in high range and anytime i blimped the throttle it would spin and take off. when we went out the connector trail to indian creek campground and hit the paved road and turned left i was running 10 to 15 mph and i gassed it about half to 3/4 throttle and i had to let out b/c it almost came around on me on the road. as said in an earlier report the engine braking is no excestant in high range but when i asked the rep and it was confirmed by another rider the engine braking in low is great and in high it freewheels to avoid shock to the drive train when you jump it.

I will have to throw in there as well that Can Am is not going to let this sit and be.

They will answer the call. I do not know what but Can Am has always taken the motto in everything they do that they will not be outpowered.

Time will tell though. I am going to sit back and watch all of these companies compete and roll out all of this good stuff like the XP, Wildcat, and Commander 1000. peppers woo hoo

The one me and Buck drove freewheeled in both high and low, when RPM's dropped below 2000 rpm, it disengaged....it doesnt have the engine brake bearing the Prowler has IMO

Nice review, Thanks for posting it up. I'm glad to see A/C step up.i like a lot of it's features. And you know no one is going to build the perfect unit. Heck, we can't even agree on what is the perfect sxs. Kawasaki8 and AC are kicking, Polaris started it early with the XP,Yamaha and Can Am heed to get moving!

FYI::::

The Wildcat is rated at 77.47 horsepower at the crank. about what I predicted, right in between the Commander 800 and 1000 numbers of 71hp and 85hp......bout 10hp less than the RZR 900.

That thing is the size of a jeep, has the wheelbase of a RZR 4, and no protection of any kind. The suspension may be great, but, after talking with a guy at Dragonfire, nobody there has gotten even the least bit excited about it for some reason. Maybe they know something about it nobody else does?

Well when I bought my commander x it was ten times better than my rzr. More comfy and ten times more power. Plus I could haul all of my gear.
It had them all outdone. There wasnt a side by side that could run with it.
Now that the XP has come its a diff story. The only thing about the xp is it aint got no storage and or course its a pooplaris.
I own them both and pooplaris is nowhere close as a pooplaris in the quality department.
Now I do have an XP on order. I hope to have it soon. I hope things are better but I am not going to hold my breath.
Wildcat looks good but I do not think its for our type of riding. Plus I have seen way too many prowlers overheat in my time.
My Commander will still be my race shops top machine. thatsright allright
