Here is the CARB cert for the Wildcat says horsepower rounded up is 78hp so 10 hp less then XP.

I think most companies fudge a little or a lot for that matter on these stats. Think the government is gonna whip out a dyno to see if they are true???? I doubt it.

Actually they do.....this is the state of Cal for you. California Air resources board. OEM's must submit a powertrain model with final production specs for approval rating, the CARB board does the rating they check it themselves, for emissions of the engine the kw rating of the engine is also checked , notice all the NOX, etc, ratings. the CARB board does not take a OEM's word for it, they check it themselves and approve or dis-approve the unit for sale in the state.
