Did you do any hand scrubbing?
Usually I would just pressure wash it and then spent a lot of time hand washing but when using slick it cut my hand washing way down, I didn't do any hand washing that day... I have only used it once so far but it seems do a lot better job removing the dirt than just pressure washing alone. I got enough to do five gallons and I only used a half gallon on that clean up spraying it heavy twice.

I don't understand an difference between your "Slick" system, and just putting a good soap in a garden sprayer and other wise following the same steps? Am I missing something or am I just CHEAP??? One more question: I showed your clip to the BOSS and she said they all LOOK clean while wet. The real acid test is when they dry. If it is still clean and pretty when dry it is a great deal.

As for try just soap in water I have never tried that (other than hand washing) to see if it works so I can not say but I do know the Slick works a lot better than my pressure wash and hand wash method. In the video the walk around towards the end is after it has dried but the last driver side view walk around is after I sprayed it with armor all.. After I get to use it a few more times I will update.
I used to ride with a guy who swore a good coating of baby oil before a ride would cut you wash time in half. However I prefer the 'just dont wash it' method. That, falls into my, 'trying to avoid any physical labor', plan.

I have the slick wash also but have not used it yet. But I have used armor-all tire spray in a can and that as worked very well after a wash under the hood and bed area really makes things shine.

I know this will show guys just how damn cheap I can be, but, I found this stuff at "The Dollar Store" called Awesome! It cost a buck a bottle. If this shit won't clean it, throw it away. It's that good. I paid about $12 bucks for a bottle of stuff from the camper dealer for black streak removal. Didn't touch the streaks on my camper. Awesome took if right off for $.99 a bottle. I'm bettin that if you put a bottle or three in your garden sprayer it will impress you for the price. I'm REALLY not as cheap as I sound sometimes. I don't mind paying for what I get. BUT, if I can get it for 99 cents, why pay $12? How much are those refills for your new outfit?

I think one of the biggest advantages of slick is not that it just removes the mud but it is biodegradable and designed to remove the mud with out removing the grease! Most cleaners are degreasers which work for removing the mud but also can cause premature failure of mechanical parts or added maintenance due to the grease they remove. I can understand being cheap I am also I do not buy anything unless I get a good deal, if you noticed on my site I posted a 20% off coupon for the slick. A 6oz package is 5.99retail - the 20% =4.79+shipping and mixes one gallon of wash. The kit I got was 49-20%=39$+shipping but I just got the total package so I could have a sufficient amount to test it out in various conditions.
