| my buddies gopro got lost somewhere down 89 or 89y on saturday late evening, if anyone finds it please email me. we have some footage on it of the flip that made a friend get air lifted. | |

| seems like they had a big airlift out 3 weeks ago. heard a chopper saturday night, wonder if that was the same one?

yep that was it. he was going up 89y and didnt make it. has a broke collar bone and punchured lung. | |

| those airflights helicopters have saved quite a few lifes in those mountains. friend had a quad flip on him and punctured a lung, clavicle and ribs broke.... luckily a cell phone got thru and another friend met a VOLLUNTEER rescue squad medic on the highway and rode him in on his quad to where my bud was.... medic pulled a big needle and informed the victim he was going to put it in his chest becuase of his lung collapsing. buddy said nah, i ll be ok..... so the medic waited few minutes tell my buddy motioned him to DO IT ! said it looked like a pencil and felt like one going in......
then lifestar out of UT hospital Knoxville was landed nearby and transported him safely out ... | |
