| If anyone has had to replace the fuel pump in their machine I am intersted in buying your bad one from you as long as the housing is good. My pump is good but the housing has bent and pulled apart. | |

| Well the root cause of the problem is that I was running my fuel tank unvented. After finishing the cage I neglected to ever do anything with the fuel tank and diff vent, other than just cap them off to keep the creek water out. My theory is that the tank sucked in and squashed the housing causing it to bend. Merlin's theory has to do with it heating up enough to melt and distort. I went to pull it out of the garage one day and the fuel light was flashing and it wouldnt fire up. I knew it was half full of fuel when I parked it. Me and Merlin pulled it apart one night last week and found the housing was distorted enough to pull the fuel sending unit wires out and the two sections of the housing had split apart letting it pump the fuel right back into the tank. | |
