Windrock this Saturday 11/26/11??

Who all is riding? Gonna try my best to get up there Saturday for a Thanksgiving ride.........if the boss lady lets me :)

We have a ride planned Friday and Saturday. We plan on meeting at the miners shack at 9 each morning.

Here is what Rooster posted for Saturdays ride.

The route I have selected for this benefit ride is Trail 2, 16, run the gravel over to northside, then Trail 50, 53,61,63,55,56 to clinchmore. Leaving Clinchmore Trail 57, 51, 33, 9, 37 return. I hope to be back by dark, so if time does not allow I will omit some of the trails. We don't all need to stick together. If you want to take your own group out then feel free to step up and let us know.

Ok, i did trail 57 this past Saturday. Its LONG but a good trail if your prepared for it. Sounds like a good day, hope i can make it.

According to my windrock map those trails equal out to around 41 miles.

Talked to Rooster and he is planning on ~50-60 miles total if we get to do all the planned trails with gravel and blacktop included.

Do we need to buy a WMA permit with the Coal Creek permit??

is the snack shack the building you come out by, when you take the trail from the campground to the trail head / parking lot area? Its been over a year since ive been up there

When you come down the trail from the campground you will be by a big garage, pull up to the stop sign at the paved road and turn right like your going to head into the parking lot and its right there on your left.

There will be a sign on/near the shed that reads "Benefit Ride"

We had a great pre-ride today.

Sorry I missed the ride, didn't get up there til after 10am. Hope you all had a good ride.
