Can I hook an IPOD directly to the speakers and be able to hear it or should I just mount a radio

You need to hook the Ipod into an AMP, and then to your speakers. Check out my post on how I did mine here.

I can vouch..........great setup with Yank and Big-R's rigs. Good sounds on the trails!
