| Recently my mike on my radio quit working. I had a RELM radio and parts were difficult to find so I called Mason about getting another radio. 3 days later I had it setting on my door step.
I got it installed and went riding last weekend and the new radio had a very similar problem. I send Mason a message and he called me Saturday night and gave me some things to check. He wanted me to make sure that I was getting enough voltage at the radio (12.8 minimum).
I got up Sunday, washed the ranger then started checking. I decided to check the source first. I was only getting 8.1v at the battery. Re-wired the radio from the auxiliary battery to the main batter (13.1v) and everything works great.
Now I have a spare radio and found a minor problem with my switch at the battery. Got everything fixed now.
