| I think Mudxtc can help me here. Are there enough trails at Tellico for a day of decent riding there in the Rhino? And I dont mean winching all day. | |

| I ride there alot and don't have any trouble. Slickrock and Rockgarden is shut down till April and also parts of trail 8. It's not worth a trip from far off, in my opinion, until these trails are opened back up but I live about thirty minutes away. The company I work for is actually doing trail maintenance at Tellico so sometimes we sneak over for supervision. | |

| Last time I rode Tellico was in 95, I was driving my 1985 Toyota and it put me on my lid twice. I definately want to go back, I just haven't had the time lately. Maybe we can get a group of peeps together and make the trip back up there. It is definately rough! | |

I made a mistake Pete. Someone told me that there was a guy on our forum that spent a lot of time there, and I thought they said it was you. But now I know it was pnjoiler.

Telli, you need to get back in the game and lead us on a ride there. We have a guy here who will be point man. ChrisC

Telli, you need to get back in the game and lead us on a ride there. We have a guy here who will be point man. ChrisC Its virtually impossible to get lost there if you can simply read the drawn map. Every trail basically connects back to the trails in.....either 5, 4 and 6 all connect back to Trail one.....Trail 4 connects back on up the mountain on Trail 1. Trail 6 comes basically at Stateline Campground. Trail 5 comes off of one and connects up to 4. Trail 6 goes all the way to 7, but circules around back to 8 and 4. very FUN place....and by far the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

| I USED TO HANG OUT THERE WITH MY BUDDIES IN OUR JEEPS.... SOME THE TRAILS ARE ROUGH AS HELL.... SOME ARE MODERATE.... A FEW THATS SIMPLE.... BUT I THINK THERES PLENTY OF TRAILS TO RIDE WITHOUT GETTING INTO THE ROUGH STUFF. I THINK SCHOOL BUS AND GUARD RAIL MAY BE CLOSED UNTIL IT WARMS UP..... AND MAY BE A FEW MORE OF THE ROUGH ONES CLOSED.... BUT ITS WORTH A VISIT ANY WAY I THINK..... JUST REMEMBER, YOU AINT GOT TO TAKE THE ROUGH TRAILS HOME WITH YA. BE CAREFUL.... HAVE FUN. | |

BE CAREFUL.... HAVE FUN. the only trails that are closed are 7, part of 8, 9 and lower 2 to my knowledge......and those open back up in April. However they are closed ruing the winter months. I think this is their first year closing? But trail 4 was rated as one of the best off road trails in america. THe rhino's can do those roads, some spots will be difficult but done none theless.

| Anyone that would be interested in coming to Tellico just let me know I would be glad to show you around. We only have roughly one month of riding left and it will be shut down unitil April 1st. The lawsuit that SWDA and Blue Ribbon had against the Forest Service was dropped and the forest service is suppose to release a new proposal about Tellico soon. Let's hope it's a good one. I want my son to be able to enjoy riding in this area like I did as a kid. | |
