I 75 southbound @ stinking creek.

I 75 southbound @ stinking creek. came thru about 5 30 friday evening and hit the back log of traffic trying to merge into one lane to maneuver around the southbound lane closure.... expect at least 25 minutes or longer..... avoid the traffic by getting off at willaims burg and hitting 27 highway... never seen so many rude people that refused to merge until the lane actually closed....

Fox,, i sure as heck couldnt live in michigan


traffic was backed up 6-7 miles at that time

I usually like it when the 18 wheelers ride sxs in both lanes to stop people racing all the way up and creating havoc.

Chipper....if I'm involved in the traffic controll, there are 3 "Large Car's" sxs!! Hell we have even had 4 !!!! My motto.....wait your freakin turn!!

Why Rob?? There is no traffic in upper Michigan. I crossed the Mackinaw bridge, which connects upper and lower Michigan, 4 times this past week and never had to wait for one vehicle, at the toll plaza....no one there.

Now believe this or not, the other night I loaded in McMillan, Mi headed to Sutton's Bay, Mi....was around 9:00 - 10:00 pm, drove 57 miles and never saw another vehicle.....excellent....just my kind of life, no other peep's.

Good bypass route, Phil... I didn't remember of that one...

Is it going to be closed this week too? Getting off at Jellico, is it a good enough route for a 35 foot toyhauler? I have a bunch traveling south bound 75.

It will be closed a couple more weeks or months. Depending on the time of day, you may be ok. This weekend the backups we ~20 miles. I would take the route mentioned above. 53' trucks take it all the time.

AAA said today, that the Jellico exit is a detour and it is probably going to be backed up there. They said to take the exit to the north at Hwy. 92, then go to 127 and down to Huntsville.

Hey Gimpy, that will work fine...at Williamsburg, Ky, take 92 west to Pine Knot, KY, then 27 (not 127) south to Huntsville. 127 goes through Crossville, TN... much too far west.

So now that you all went through there, I am going to Brimstone next weekend - Getoff at Williamsburg or Jellico? I have a 36' RV and a 12' trailer

Depends on the time the day. Some drove right to the exit, some got off a Jellico. We took no chance and got off at Williamsburg. Just a long way around I think.
