stock rzr skid plates

i guess i should have learned with my 09 rzr skids that stock is junk. but with the new 2012 skids that are said to be tougher and thicker i thought they would be ok. wrong



the stump that went through the skid also pushed the belt cover up and the secondary sheave rubbed a hole in the cover. it also broke the brake depression switch and would not start back after i turned it off. thanks chipper for pulling the fuse and getting it running. after looking at it today i found that it was not broke but just disconected pluged it back in and it starts right up. and chipper thanks for the duck tape also. it worked great no water or dust got in at all.

Looks like your nuts got lucky. I've got another crappy stocker if you want it. It's just collecting dust in the shed.

will be ordering EMP skids.

If you didn't use your rzr like a bulldozer I don't think that stump would of had the chance to penetrate your skid plate. I've heard good things about the UHMW skids.

Your insurance co would probably total it out with that frame
damage......I would keep that old skid laying arround in case
I needed to collect on it.

the frame damage is from the 09 i had.

EMP Aluminum and don't worry about it again. I never worry about stumps, rocks, or whatever. If something comes through that 3/8" aluminum plate I've got bigger problems

Joe, I don't think anything could ever touch the skids on that monster.......

Just like the red green show, duct tape it.

....I did'nt even look at the date in yellow on each pic

ended up putting the skids i had on my 09 and 10, plus the stock skids on.

aluminum for protection and the plastic to slide on the rocks.

I have factory Utv skids on mine and love them its a one piece 1/2 inch thick uhmv skid

well the skids will help, but trying to remove tree stumps with your rzr skid is nuts -
