| For those of you who read the post by Gimpy in regards to Navy I wanted to give you an update. This is his wife and we wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. After being on the ventilator for two weeks and being told twice that we only had 24 hours to get better or we would have to make a decision I am proud to say we are still here. God decided he wasn't done with him yet. We are off the vent and have been since Saturday, April 14 and doing well. Even though our organs shut down at one point our kidneys and liver are working well. We also have been able to control the blood pressure issues. We are very weak and still not able to walk or lift our arms but in due time we will be out and about and riding again. We know it's because of prayer and our faith in God that we are able to say Mike is doing GREAT! Thanks again for your prayers and concerns. Hope to be better and to see everyone at the next ride. | |
