I checked into being a Game Warden a few years back and after reading about the job, I was very interested UNTIL I got to the part about the paycheck. It wasnt very pretty, I think 23-25K a year, I couldnt even afford half of my toys on that kind of money...........
as long as you have some side money coming in, this wouldnt be a bad gig. Just remember, whenever there is a national crisis (Bombing, terrorist attack, etc) you WILL be on call-out for it until the crisis is over or they will let you go on the spot!
When I was at the Pentagon (9-11) several park rangers had to stand a post (boring), I understand that you probably arent in a national threat area but it is something to think about................
