Gimpy's date

The story=I got a total right hip replaced in 2006. Two weeks later I got a bad infection from the surgery and almost lost the leg. The surgeon did not know how to remove the cup in the pelvis, so he beat on it with a mallet and a bone tamp, which loosened it and left it in place that way. That left the cup loose, which after 10 months sheared the screws off and messed up the bones in the pelvis. Found a good surgeon to redo that mess. Count it, that was the 3rd time.

NOW, as some of you know, I have been having a lot of pain and back to limping. Found out that my body has rejected the steel on steel, which has caused the muscle to turn to mush and the femor has one hole the size of a thumb ate through it. The muscle has become unattached from the femor too. Permanent damage from that. I am heading in for #4 surgery on Tuesday. Should be back home on Thursday or Friday. It might be a while before I make it down here to the computer. I should be on my phone by Wednesday or so. Let me know how Mason is doing. He is a lot worse than I am. I just feel like someone is kicking my in the nuts constantly, at times!!!

Dang Gimpy, that's all pretty strong stuff you are dealing with. Thoughts and prayers for you buddy. Hang in there.

Hope everything goes well for you and that it works out. Sounds like you have been through more than a person should endure. Hope you have a great recovery . Like i said before were just up the road a piece if you need any assistance.

Wow Les that is a painful story, Hope it all get's resolved this time and that you have a peaceful and rapid recovery. I know it's been said but if you need anything I'm not far away, same goes for Pam too. Blessings on you and your surgeon and family.

Thanks everyone. Some of you knew of the problem, just not when I was going in. I am, in my mind, thinking I could make Evarts, but will be lucky to make Windrock. I will check the site tomorrow night, then when I make back to the downstairs, or on my sons laptop.
