Subject: RZR XP 4 seater questions... Wed Aug 22, 2012 9:17 pm
I've been on the trails with a couple 4 seaters so far mostly 800s only a couple of the 900s. I haven't really seen any of them hauling ass. Course most of the time they had a family in them so that might be why the were cruising along.. I know the 4 seaters have done pretty good in some of the races. The more XPs I'm around the more I want that motor. So my main question is how do the 4 seaters do? Is the extra power used up by the weight or do they still get down the trail pretty quick? I'm a little concerned about driving a bus through the woods, But so far the ones I've seen have gotten through trails I really wouldn't have thought they would have. Reason I'm kicking this around at evarts you guys might have noticed my wife's RZR never moved. Its not the first trip it has stayed parked. Her exact words the past couple of rides is " I don't mind driving if I have to" So pretty much if our son doesn't go and I don't have a passenger she would rather ride with me then drive.. She also doesn't like driving at night.. doesn't like the red trails at brimestone,, ect, ect lol.. So I'm thinking about just selling the two seaters and getting a 4 seater XP with EPS.. That way she never has to drive if she doesn't want to.. I just don't want a slow ass bus that I can't hit the fun stuff with.. My trailer doesn't have the room for a 4 seater and a 2 seater and really with what an XP4 costs I would need to sell both my 800s to cover it. lol Even then mods would come out of pocket! It would also help me out not having two machines to work on.. You think you have to change bushing and ball joints alot,, Have two of the damn things..
So anyway. Thoughts please.. Just a Family wagon or can it hang with the 2 seaters?

i drove a xp 4 at evarts and its has way more power than a 2 seater 800. and cant tell much diff than the xp 2 seater. if i ever get a 4 it will be the xp 4 eps.
i will ether get an xp4 or the new ranger 900 in a year or 2. if i get the 4 i will sell the S but if i end up with the ranger i will keep the S for when its just me and ride the ranger when the family is with me. wont be doing nothing to extreme with a kid along anyway.

I have a friend who has a 2012 silver XP4 EPS and it is bad ass! With four grown men (200lbs+ each) we could climb any hill, cross any rut and haul plenty of ass at our local riding area. Alot of these hills and ruts I cannot do on my stock 2010 RZR-S because of the shorter length and wanting to high side and tip over. We actually got the XP4 on the payment and did a speed run with all of us in it. When the speedo hit 72mph he let out because of oncoming traffic. We are taking it to Brimestone in Sept for it's first real maiden voyage and I can't wait to see how it does. Only concern I have is how will it handle the tighter trails?? I would not hesitate on getting one if the need was there.

I ride with one all the time. The only issues he has is getting center hung but he has always had the power to back up and blast over it.

I'm pretty sure we are going to go with a 4 seater. The wife likes the idea. She is cool with just riding. I'm cool with not having two machines to work on.. The back seat in them ain't the roomiest.. But It should work for us. What do you guys think is a fair asking price for my current machines? I will probably leave everything on them minus our two ways and my heater.. Black one is a 09 LE with an LSR plus 4 and real fox 2.0 shocks. ,doors, roof, 4 points, front and rear windshield. Jensen marine radio has place for ipod usb drive and is sat ready, with a duner tunes speaker box and some kicker 6x9s. Muzzy duals, 4500lb winch, Hids, Racertec bumper, S rear cage and spare tire rack, Uhmw skid. Has 2k miles
The silver one is a 09 S. Has the same radio and speaker box. Front rear window. roof, Proarmor doors, four points, Hids, Upgraded battery. Has 1k miles

I've got a 2012 XP 900 4 seater and love it. Bush drove mine in Evarts and the only thing i would definatly recommend is POWER STEERING. After a day of having 4 people in it, you are completely worn out. The power is unreal in the 4. I'm planning on putting a 4" lift, with 30" tires to compensate for the added length.
